For prospective International Students
Many of our applicants will be those applying to various Japanese public and private scholarships to study abroad in Japan. For our prospective international students, we welcome people working in all fields, who wish to learn the skills necessary to analyze and interpret data to evaluate programs and inform decision-makers about the effectiveness of different policies and their consequences. Our students come from many different countries, and you will find a totally unique environment where you will get to work not only with Japanese people, but also colleagues from all over the world. All instruction and academic affairs will be conducted in English. Several current students have kindly provided their thoughts on their time at IEDP.
For prospective Japanese Students
Our program offers a unique combination of a highly diverse international student body with an emphasis on rigorous training in causal inference methods and data science. This program may be especially useful for Japanese students who wish to learn these skills in an English-only international environment without the expense and difficulty of studying abroad. We interviewed some of our Japanese students who kindly provided their perspectives on what kind of Japanese student may benefit from studying at IEDP.
